Hey everyone!

I was notified by my manager that I had to put my 2014 Vacation Requests in by Dec. 15. I just recently 29 and in the process of what I want to do for my 30th B-Day next October. As somebody who is learning more and more about cigars every day (Thinking about heading to the local smoke shop later this afternoon) I'm curious to see what are some of the top Cigar Smoking cities in the US? I'm guessing cities like Miami and Las Vegas are near the top of the list, but where else can a guy like myself go for 4-5 days, enjoy myself, have good food, good drink, good smokes, and just have a good time celebrating my 30th Birthday?

Thanks!

We have no idea what you like to do so it would be hard to answer. But the 2 cities you listed would be at the top of my list for US cities. You live in NC? If I were you, go to Havana. Seriously.

From Miami up to Boca all have great places to smoke and the weather is conducive to outdoor smoking most of the year and, in my experience, most restaurants and bars have at least an outdoor area to smoke. If you're looking to buy some sticks there I'd recommend avoiding most of the shops in Miami and opt for the Smoke Inn locations north of Fort Lauderdale, their newest location in Boynton is great and they have a vintage room with a plethora of rare cigars. There are two other great places to check out: Prime Cigar & Wine Bar and Smoke on the Water.

Having lived in South Florida for most of my life, I would say avoid South Florida as I find it boring. However, I would suggest Vegas as it's fun, and they have Casa Fuente.

I know I'm not fighting a winning argument haha but the phx area is a great spot to many B&Ms to count and low prices !

I gotta second this. I am loving the cigar culture of Phoenix. Especially after coming from California where every non smoker hates smokers.

Haha. You don't get that in SD? This just my experience in Cali. Legally you cannot smoke in an apartment complex. Not even outside or on your own balcony/patio. I received two tickets for this. One back when I smoked cigarettes and one this last year. When I moved to a house. I got a ticket for smoking a cigar in my front yard because it was within a certain distance to a school. I was like 5 houses down from a highschool. I received a ticket for smoking in my car while driving once, because my sister in law was in the car and she was only 17, the cop didn't care that her birthday was in less than a week and niether did the judge. You can't smoke with a minor in a vehicle not even your own child if you were to so choose. I got a ticket last june for smoking in my car in the parking lot at my work because it is actually illegal to smoke in a parking lot unless your windows are rolled up in CA. I was walking my puppy just before I moved to AZ and got a ticket for smoking a cigar on a residential street because there was a park on the corner and you cant smoke near or in public parks. I would say that California is about as anti smoking as you can get without making it illegal. Not to mention dirty looks from almost anyone in LA that sees someone smoking. Or people constantly walking up to you telling you you're gonna die of cancer. Or that your giving everyone around you cancer.

I second Smoke on the Water in Weston, FL, and Prime Cigar Bar in Boca. Smoke Inn is good as well, along with Mike's Cigars in Bal Harbor!

For your 30th birthday I say Vegas! So much fun there and a lot of places to smoke. Miami is neat as well but I would take Vegas any day.

Vegas or Miami if your gonna stay in the US. IMO.

That's what I figured. Personally I'd take Miami over Vegas. Besides it being much closer to home, I'd love to see the cultural side of the city as well. Don't think you'll get that much in Vegas

Aficionado's in Coral Springs is also very good. I've heard Neptune in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale are also good, but I haven't gotten a chance to go yet.

I currently live in a condo and our HOA sent everyone a note on a new city policy that was passed. You can no longer smoke inside your house. Damn tree huggers. They took away plastic bags from grocery stores, now you can't smoke anywhere in this city.

I would never smoke a cigar in my house but, I would want that to be a decision I make.

tl;dr - Stay away from Pasadena, CA haha

Fine. Don't. We get too many yahoo tourists who turn into permanent residents as it is... ;)

I don't know where you lived Britt, but I haven't gotten that in SD.
