Dear friends and brothers,
I am happy to report that the "echo" went very well. There was some "regurgitation" but not enough to cause alarm. Everything is well and given the murmur, the tech said it was the right thing to do and make sure there was no pernicious damage. It's all good in the hood!

Thanks to all for your thoughts and prayers!

I called my sister today to do my weekly check-in and I got a very tearful and response about her "not wanting to bother anyone." Evidently a heart murmur that was benign is getting louder and this may also have had an impact on a valve in her heart.

Those of you who read my Christmas story in Hendy's Holiday Contest know that my sister is a single parent, a great mother, a hard worker, and adopted and is currently shaping the world of two of the most lovely girls you would ever want to meet. Loving, confident, smart, generous, and just everything anybody could wish for. We are a tight family and I am trying my best not to catastrophize, but I wonder if she is telling me everything so as not to worry.

If you have even just a moment today, a thought, prayer, or best wish, would mean the world to me and it is my hope all that she has given to those girls, our family, and how good a person she is will come back to her; she deserves it.

Thank you so much. :sadstare:

Hey brother,

Thoughts are with your family. If it is a heart murmur, technology has come a long way and she can get the help she needs to live a long and healthy life. My cousin who is in his younger 30's, discovered a heart murmur that needed surgery last year. He got the surgery in Cleveland at a renown clinic, had no issues after, and is living a perfectly healthy life now doing any and all activities.

Keep your head up and let her know there are options.
