I hate to brag, but I wanted to share the news with my brothers.

This past Tuesday we were meeting with some people regarding my current PhD project. I started working on this last February, taking over the project from a post-doctoral fellow. The meeting went by very smoothly, and the guys with funding were happy with what we have done so far.

If anyone is interested, I have been working on an antibacterial coating based on a natural sugar polymer. The process is inexpensive, environmentally friendly, and can be used to coat a variety of medical devices from catheters to, potentially, stents and artificial heart valves. Maybe one day this will be used in hospitals and help save a life or two.

I couldn't be more glad to be back in my element and at grad school.

So, I ordered myself a few sticks to celebrate! I've been wanting to try the Hemingway Signature (since I love the Short Story). I know, it's a staple smoke for many folks here, but I never ventured there for some odd reason. What better time than now!

Thanks for listening (or reading :)).

Congrats man! That is quite an accomplishment. Good for you to be back at grad school. That's really great...I hope you are getting to enjoy some down time in-between all of the work and enjoying some great smokes. Let me know if you are out and I will send you one! Take care. Enjoy man.

Quite impressive!

BTW, it's not bragging when it's because of hard work. Well done you deserve that Hemingway and much more.

Like to hear good news vs the bad stuff which seems to be more the normal. Congrats on getting into a field of work that you really like. Best of luck to finish the PhD project. Smoke a good one when you find time.

PS, also congrats on the 100th post. Milestones are great!

Congrats! The Hemingway Classic is a great smoke. I feel connected to that line because I did my undergrad with a grand nephew of his.
