Binny's

I am huge fan of Binny's enormous selection of beer, wine, and spirits. With that said, I happen to wander into the humidor at my local Binny's and notice what a wide variety and nice selection of cigars they had. I was surprised to see a well stocked humidor with brands such as Tatuaje and CAO. I prefer to shop at my local B&M but I just couldn't pass up a few CAO La Traviata Maduro Robusto's on sale for $3.99!

Just wondering if anyone else picks up sticks from their local Binny's and what other brands do they carry at your local Binny's?

I use to buy a lot of cigars from Binny's in the last couple years, but not so much lately. They have good prices on most things, but they don't tend to keep up on your humidors very well from what I noticed(a couple stores, have some pretty bad mold issues). The South Loop and Orland Park Store's seem to have the best humidors, IMO.

They carry just about everything but Illusione and Viaje. I don't think they're big on LFD's either.

I bought a My Father LE from Binnys in Chicago last year. I was not expecting to see that or any of the other good cigars I saw. The equivalent store to Binny's down here (but nowhere as good) has a good selection of libations but a mediocre cigar selection.

Eddie Rivera is the tobacconist at the Binny's in Schaumburg. That location's humidor seems to be kept in good shape with new stuff coming in with some regularity. I don't get out that way very much, but when I do, I know he's going to have a decent selection. He always seems to know what's going on in the industry, and he set up a mailing list for those interested in news, reviews, and events.

This is where I go. Eddie is a great guy. Pretty good selection, several Padrons, Davidoff, Tats (picked up some 7th reservas recently), E.P Carrillo, Liga Privada just to name a few.

I have gone to the Binny's in Skokie quite often. Jerry (the humi manager) is a great guy, and that store has a pretty good selection. The Binny's in the South Loop also has a pretty good setup, and the manager of that humidor used to be the manager of the humidor at the Binny's in Plainfield.

Every once-in-a-while Binny's has a pretty good sale, like the My Father sale that Eric mentioned above. They have great buying power, since they have 20+ stores in the Chicago area.

I will have to check out the Binny's in Skokie since I pass it everyday on my way to work. Usually though I drive a little out of my way after work to stop by Cigar King in Skokie if I am going to pick up a few sticks.
