Hello fellow Consumers of an A.M. Libation, I have recently started dabbling in this delicious drink called the Bloody Mary, and am looking for your personal recipes to make them even better. Bonus points for a stick that pairs well with a spicy drink in the early morning without being over powering, and also your favorite beer back to top it off.

So far I have just been using Mrs T original, with New Amsterdam vodka with a Coors light chaser. Pickle and olives added with a dash of Tabasco. Tat Miami 10 has paired well in my limited experience. Thanks for the recipes in advance, The Trills99

Here's mine after a lot of research, trial, error, and a success:

3 Tbsp Dijon mustard
3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 Tbsp prepared horseradish
2 Tbsp hot sauce (like Tabasco)
Juice from 2 freshly squeezed lemons
Juice from 2 freshly squeezed limes
2 Tbsp clam juice
1 tsp freshly ground celery seed
2 tsp fresh ground black pepper
2 tsp smoked sea salt
1 64 oz bottle tomato juice (or use Clamato juice and forgo the clam juice)

Adjust the pepper to taste

I use a 50/50 mix of bacon vodka and a very hot pepper vodka.

And don't forget the importance of good garnishes!

A bloody mary with gin, or a Red Snapper as its officially called, is so much better than the vodka version IMO.

2 ounces Gin (Hendrick's goes great with the tomato flavor because of the cucumber flavor in the gin)

4 ounces tomato juice

1/2 ounce lemon juice

1 pinch salt & pinch black pepper

2 dashes Worcestershire sauce

2 dashes Tabasco sauce

Try it out sometime!

And if ya wanna get really technical, a bloody mary with clamato juice is called a Caesar. Only reason I know this shit is because my grandmother drinks all of these religiously and I usually make them for her lol

I like to start with a base & then doctor it. I like worcheshire, red tabasco, season or celery salt. I then add garnishes, a slim jim, olives, I like those cheese snacks that come in sticks, esp. pepperjack.

Also, Tito's handmade vodka.

Mind blown. I've been ordering "Red Snappers" for a couple years now, but always as how they were introduced to me: Jack + Cranberry.

There is also a version made with whiskey, called a whiskey mary. There is.also another Red snapper made with Crown Royal, cranberry juice, and amaretto poured over ice.

Being originally from Canada, I am very well acquainted with, and miss, the Caeser. But when I moved here, no one knew what the hell that was!

Glad to learn someone else knows the Caeser. For sake of ease, I just call it a Bloody Mary. Plus, a traditional Caeser doesn't have people go overboard with the garnish (something I am very guilty of)

Love the bacon and pepper vodka combo. I'll have to try that.

To be fair, part of the quote from upinsmoke got cut off, and he is the one that pointed that out. Cannot take credit for that

Clam Digger
Ice
1 part Vodka
3 part Clamato Juice
6-8 Sliced Banana Peppers and a couple tablespoons of the juice from the jar.
Dash of Worcestershire
Dash of Tabasco
Teaspoon of horseradish (not creamy)
Dash of celery salt
Dash of pepper
Tablespoon minced garlic

Also, if you are ever in Minneapolis-St. Paul airport, stop at Ike's and try the weekender. It's the Bloody Mary that eats like a meal.
A 20 oz. drink made to order with Smirnoff Vodka, Sacramento Tomato juice, Tabasco Sauce, horseradish, L&P Worcestershire Sauce, salt and pepper. The glass is rimmed with Kosher Salt and Celery Salt then garnished with a celery stalk, pickled asparagus spear and lime wedge. The whole thing is topped off with a skewer of pepperoncini, black olive, green olive, cocktail onion, baby dill pickle and American cheese. And, as if this weren’t enough, it comes accompanied by another skewer of chilled shrimp and spicy smoked beef stick.

Infusing your own vodkas with peppers and bacon is super easy and costs a lot less than buying them.

Plus you can control the ingredients (no artificial flavors) and the heat level.

Yup. Garnishes turn it from a mere drink into a meal
