Bluetooth'ing Songs

My laptop has bluetooth and I'm wondering if there is a free or easy way to get songs on your phone? May'be a program that can make a ringtone from a song and then my laptop can bluetooth it to my Razr? Just wondering here as I got bored...

Almost all carriers have disabled the options that would allow you to make ring-tones yourself.

"Why?" you might ask? 'Cause then your wireless carrier would not be able to sell you a ring-tone for upwards of $4 bucks. Ring-tones are a multi-million (Billion?) dollar business for wireless providers and copyright owners such as the recording industry.

If you DO find a program that could turn current songs into MIDI or sound files, please let me know.

I make my ringtones and put them on my razr with bluetooth all the time. All you need is a sound editor like http://audacity.sourceforge.net to the shorten length of your mp3 file. Pair up your computer and phone and then upload it.

Sweet! I'll have to check that out Eric. At first I was trying to edit with Windows Sound Recorder but the files have to be .wav while I basically have none of.

I use the cable that I bought for my phone and Bit Pim

I use bitpim to seem edit. If you know which codes you need you can enable all the disabled features. You can also transfer with it. All of the seem edits can be found at howard chui forums by going to the carrier that your are with. If you seem edit, its VOIDS all warranties. So if you make a mistake and wipe out your phone, you then have a real problem. You can also go to the howard forums and read, there might be an easier way to do it, maybe with a memory card that is available for the razr.

Any of you happen to have a ring tone with the Bond theme song? I'm a Bond fanatic, cannot wait until the 17th.....From the trailers, and what I've read, it seems they REALLY got the darkness of 007 in this movie...They got all of his rage and frustration in to the character..I didn't think I was going to like Craig as Bond, but from the trailers and the interviews, I think I will be pleasantly suprised...Sorry for the thread jack, I'll shut up now..
