Bolivar Belicoso Fino Review

This was a wish granted by JFire via Speedy in MAW2. I smoked this cigar over the weekend playing poker with some buddies.

Appearance and Construction – A nicely constructed cigar with some noticeable veins and cinnamon colored wrapper.

Pre-light – Cigar smelled slightly sweet and floral. Draw was perfect with flavors of cedar and cashews.

1/3 – Upon lighting I was greeted by the floral notes from the pre-light, ample smoke, and a little leather in the background. Burn was solid, the draw perfect, and the ash perfect. Loving this!

2/3 – The cigar got a little bolder here, with the floral notes taking a back seat to leather and cashews and just a touch of pepper, but had a very nice finish.

3/3 – The floral notes picked back up here, the cashews were still present, while the leather and spice faded a bit. Draw, burn, and ash were incredible throughout.

Final thoughts – I really enjoyed this cigar from start to finish and need to get my hands on at least a fiver in the very near future.

I would rate this stick a 90 with potential for more. Thanks Justin for the great stick and Derek for the wish.

I love this smoke! Its amazing to see how this cigar evolves with time.. ROTT these are bold, in your face with a creamy finish that sits on your tongue for hours with some age the boldness gives way to a ton of flavors. Whenever I smoke these ROTT the wife can smell it on me a mile away but damn its worth it!

Nice review. The entire Bolivar line fits my smoking profile perfectly, I love the BF. Saddened that the Gold Medal has been discontinued. Thanks again for the great review.

Could have just been the lighting. We were playing cards in the garage and photo was taken with my phone. Does it look much darker than normal?

Uh Bill, it's pink. Looks like one of those bubble gum cigars I bought for 2 cents when I was a kid. Lol, definitely the lighting.
