Bombing-When and Why?

There's been a lot of chatter about bombing lately. Why people bomb, who they bomb, and when.

My reason's for bombing folks is just a uncontrolled function.
-I bomb when I feel.
-I tend not to bomb for anyones reason's but my own. Meaning, I don't get tied up in mass bombings (well some, depends on the person).
-I sometimes just wig out and send out cluster bombs.
-If l get a good impession of a noob and they are looking to try something I may have.
-Birthdays, I try to hit as many as I can without breaking the bank. And it's so fricken fun.
-I don't bomb with expectations of anything in return. That should never be expected (in my book). Otherwise, just call it what it is, a Blind Trade.

I dig sending out bombs. I concider them driven by the heart, not by greed or any reciprocal expectation.

So that's my take. What's yours?

Well, to me its called sharing the share. SPeaking of that, your Bday is this month Scott and expect a little bomb! muhaha.. I agree with you though. I bomb when I feel like it.

Every now and then someone will ask for something that I might have. And boom. Doesn't happen too often, due to me being a selfish prick (i ain't given away my Franks, Padrons, or Opi). And the rest of my stash is readily available to most guys with more than a college kid's budget.

Exactly as you stated Scott. Never once thought of it as an "about me" or "what can I get out of it", it's all about helping out and sharing the share.

A bomb for me is all about the receiver....for some reason, there is something(s) I want to share with him or her.

When it becomes "Look at me", more about the sender (notoriety, hope for "retaliation", etc.)...then it is no longer a true "bomb" in my eyes.

But it's also why I've been laying a bit low lately - sometimes it feels as though it's expected that you bomb everyone back - To the point where I didn't want anyone sending me anything - I felt obligated. So to counter that I decided to pay everything forward (except of course when it's a trade or purchase).

I've actually dreamed of hitting the lottery & sending massive bombs to tons of guys on botl! But in the meantime, I do what I can, when I can, when I feel 'drawn' or 'called' to do it! (Does that qualify as mental illness?? Lol)

All about sharing the share IMO. Birthdays, the occasional mass bombing, and when and where I feel like it. No expectations of anything in return, ever. Just enjoy sharing the share.

For me I have slowed down as I don't like being in the middle of it all. I like to send stuff when the moment strikes but really hate being bombed. As so I tend deal with people I know and understand (sometinmes they forget) that they are not supposed to send back.

Depends on target for me. If people have a smaller selection or I know they haven't tried something, I will bomb them when I feel like it and when they're not specifically asking. Definitely birthdays of people I know also. People with way bigger collections than mine, I try to bomb with other things as well as cigars.

I bomb when I can afford it. As for who I bomb, there's always different reasons. But it usually boils down to it being someone I respect and want to share with. That said, I also prefer to hold contests instead of just bombing. I think they're fun, and the winner gets to "earn" the cigars.

I do it for the reasons Adam Smith mentions in a book he wrote a while back....I always appreciated the quote, and felt it to be indicative of being a BOTL....which is why I keep it there...a reminder of sorts I suppose.

Also leads me to believe that he musta been a cigar smoker :cbig:
