Pre ligt: Cigar has a darker semi rough looking wrapper. Cut nicely with my Cuban Crafters cutter, Pre light draw tasted like tobacco and nuttyness
Drink: Thomas Kemper root beer
Location: At my local cigar lounge
1/3rd: From the get go I get flavors of tobacco and nuttyness after a few puffs I detect some cask oak flavor as well. Med-dark ash that holds well. I would say that the cigar if med in flavor and strenght. No problems with the draw as I get a good volume of smoke.
2/3rd: The nuttyness has kind of faded and I can taste the tobacco and oaky flavors and detect some red wine like flavor. kind of interesting. Still burning well as it dosent need any touch up's and smoking well.
3/3rd pretty much the same the favors were oak woodsy, some wine like flavor. May have dropped a tad in strenght. No issues with butn or construction.
Score 88 out of 100
Conclusion: A nice change meduim strenght change of pace cigar. Haven't smoked too many RyJ's so it was nice to re-visit them. Heard good remarks about this cigar and it' been disco'd . So I though I give them a try before they are all gone.

Cigar #5
A beautiful Saturday morn and with the kids sleeping its time for coffee and cigar 5.
A TPC with a nice Colorado wrapper and the pre lite draw is perfect witha chocolate taste.
First Half:
Chocolate and coffee dominate the first half with a sweet clove undertone. An El Principe if I had to guess at this point.
Last Half:
Not much change except a little tongue tingle. A great cigar to start the day.
I'll be surprised if its not an El Principe.

Blind Habanos Review #5
Prelight: Perfect draw, solid construction. No soft spots, wrapper is rolled perfectly onto this tasty little treat.
First half: Taste of leather, a little nuttiness and a general sweet tobacco taste. Very well-rounded and satisfying little cigar.
Second half: Still kicking up some great flavors. Very full-flavored without being too overpowering at any point, extremely well-balanced smoke. Very smooth with no bitterness to speak of or much of a lingering aftertaste.
Overall: Great smoke! Very pleased with this small format cigar, would definitely smoke again if given the chance. My guess is... Bolivar Bonitas??? Great smoke overall, all kidding aside.
Thanks Kirk for putting this all together and putting up with our delinquent asses and my newb palate. You rock, brother!

Well after almost 3 weeks of the worse cold I've ever experianced I'll be reviewing the last of the blind CC's
Cigar:4" x 40 ish
Feel was firm but one hard spot right in the middle of the cigar. Wapper wasn't the pretiest I've ever seen but wasn't the worse either. Cut with my palio and gave it a cold draw. Cigar was some what tight but not unsmokeable with a very firm draw. Notes of tobacco that seemed muted for some reason.
1st inch: Dry tobacco taste with no spice. Cigar has a nutty ness to it with some bitterness creaping into it.
1st 3rd: Not much change. Tobacco with some nuttiness and more bitterness building.
2nd: Cigar has opened up a little but still a very tight draw. Some sweetness thru the retrohale. Bitterness instead of building even more is actually fading. Some very slight spice and maybe a little gingerbread thrown into the mix.
3rd: Cigar is buning much better now that the hard spot is gone. Cigar seems to have picked up a little strength but is still medium body med strength at best. Nothing wrong with that at all. Especially after not smoking for over 2 weeks. General flavors of tobacco, slight sweetness and nuttiness. Put this cigar down with just under 1 inch left.
Overall impressions:
I enjoyed this cigar but defintely much more on the back half. The front reminded me too much of a Punch wich I just don't like a whole lot in general. (even though I liked the other Punch we just reviewed?????) The second half had a nice Party gingerbread and Cohiba sweetness. (but with out all the strength and leather of a Party) Especially thru the nose. The ambient aroma of smoke I didnt really notice much.
No clue as to what it was so I'll just call it a Punch Petite Punch. If I'm wrong Im going to say one of the marcas that doesnt get noticed much like a Rafeal Gonzalez. Or one that does but imo has bad looks when it comes to wrappers like a Ryj. The wrapper looked of slightly less quality imo.
