1. Rocky Patel Vintage 1990
2. Perdomo Lot 23
3. AF King "B"
4. La Aroma De Cuba (forgot which one...Im a dumbass.)
5. AF Rosado Grand Reserva

So, how did I do? The guy at the B&M said these were all pretty good cigars that were medium to full bodied, Which I told him I wanted. I was gonna pick up an Opus X, but he talked me out of it saying it was too strong for me if I just started. I definitely do not want to smoke an Opus X and throw up on my shoes and not enjoy it. I AM, however, going to buy one and smoke it on my wedding day on August 28 of this year...

Pa,
I say nice selection.
Out of those I have only smoked the 1990 and really enjoyed it. All the others I have heard plenty of ppl say they enjoy them.

Where are you going on your honeymoon? Are you taking cigars to smoke?

I'd say you did pretty darn good there. The RP 90 and 92 were the cigars that got me hooked 4-5 years ago. The others are all good smokes too. Enjoy 'em!

Going to Savannah, Ga I think...either there or Florida. We have two places we can choose from. Cigars will be consumed on the honeymoon...Just not sure which box to buy yet. May stick with the Padron 2000 for a box.

If you find you really enjoy a few of those selections, then you did fine.
Remember ... the only opinion that matters is yours.

Yes, it's probably better to throw up on your wedding day anyway .... :rolling:

i've had many problems with the burn consistency of the king b...relights, uneven burning etc. but that has nothing to do with taste which is really good.

I say if you like them all you did great! Even if you don't, you still did good because you bought SINGLES. Part of starting out is the trial and error, as long as the error isn't a whole box of error!

I was in Savannah, GA over the 4th of July week, great place for food and a beer or two....The Velvet Elvis Lounge, Moon River Brewing Company, Churchill's and the Distillery.

Bring your cigars with you, selections at the shops in Savannah were not that good and were way over priced in my opinion.

that is the first thing that I learned here by reading...buy singles and try as much as you can to see what you like and what you dont. I took that advice to heart and it is working out great for me.

My fav's so far -

1. Padron 2000
2. Rocky Patel Vintage 1990
3. Romeo y Julietta (all Ive tried so far...they are ALL GOOD)
4. Padron all other X000's. Haven't tried anything else in the Padron line yet, but Im sure Ill love the Anniversary, etc.

Just curious. Are you smoking the padron X000 naturals or maduro's?
The maduro's are great!

Also larry it depends on the size vitola with the LaRoma De Cuba....
If it's the 4x60 (Older version w/ the one lady on the front), that thing
is a nicotine timebomb! I smoked one of those at a barbecue, and had
to put it out because I got lightheaded. Then I got home and
tried smoking the rest of it.... what did I do that for?:hysterica

I bet the maduros are great...in fact, they are so great I cant find singles anywhere. Every B&M Ive been in has been sold out. They cant keep em. So I have been smoking the naturals so far.

I'm a big fan of the AF Rosados and the King Bs. Like Benday I have had burning problems with the King B so you might not want to fire that one when you are behind the wheel of your big rig. :dunno:
