Boveda help?!?!

so i was checkin out my tupperdor and i noticed that my 65% boveda packet( brand new) had a brown spot on it. I think it leaking im worried about the chemicals, should i be okay till i have the time to order a new one? or do i need to get one right away?

I would get a new one. but it could just some impurity that was on it pre-humi. Either way, I don't think the chemicals in the boveda are dangerous, or that they would release dangerous fumes if it was left in there. Just salt, water and alcohol...I think. In the right proportions of course.

I dont know how old the Boveda is, but after some time, you can see the packaging degrade. Humidipack states a useful life of 6 months. I have Bovedas and Humidipaks that have been used for 2 years, but not all will last that long depending on conditions.

If that brown spot is damp (leaking), I would throw it away. If its dry, I would still use it but just check it once in a while.
