Alright, I understand the why's, but does anyone know where one can find a up-to-date box code list?

Is it generally good practice to verify box codes that come from a vendor to ensure that the product that you are getting is genuine? But isn't this easily forged?

I got a vendor who posts box codes for his wares and I guess I should verify, but is there a point?

Just being paranoid is all I guess. Any thoughts?

It's pretty much useless with anything past '03, IIRC. Cuba varies their factory codes about every other month and no one has been able to tell which code belongs to which factory. Just know your vendor and you'll have no problems.

Well, I got a link for a source from a well known website (under its "where to buy" section).

I know, I know, its a sponsor of the site and not necessarily a reputable vendor. But I am inclined to believe that the website vets who they put under their "where to buy" section. Right?

Too many questions.
