holy cow! my lady friend of six years has been having problems with her right foot since we've been together. always told me she had a bunyun,,, i thought it was like a wart or something. never thought it was that serious as she never really complained....

well, i'm off to the hospital now, where she'll be in surgery for the next five hours! they're going to break a lot of bones and separate her last two toes. she'll be off her feet for at least a month, out of work for probably two (she's a principal for a K-8 school).

her name is Jerelyn. please, silent prayers and good thoughts for her.

thanks,

jeff

update,,, she just got out of surgery! went better than expected as one of the main bones slid back into place on its own, and they didn't have to break it. that was the main weight-bearing bone, so she's leaving in a walking boot! that just cut the recovery time in half!! answered prayers!!

Good to hear, I hope the recovery process goes well...

My mom needs the same surgery but wont get it for some reason...

but typically women get them because of how tight their shoes are and it is a little hereditary from what I understand

that's my understanding,,, and she won't wear 'sensable shoes.' she's picture-perfect when she's in public.

she's talking about being back to work in a week! no cast (which should have been for at least 2 months). un-freaking-believable!!

update... went to her first Dr's appt yesterday. She's completely off the crutches already. probably going back to work next week. since she was supposed to be in a non weightbearing cast for 2 months, this ordeal has been just shy of miracleous! took the family pizza and rigatoni last night!

thanks for the prayers and well-wishes! paid off!!
