Cigar Inn! Awesome selection (HUGE walk-in humidors); two locations. I went to the one on the upper East Side. Prices surprisingly not too bad...

It's about 1.5 miles Columbus Cir to the one at 53rd and 2nd. I'm not a fan of that one personally but the one at 73rd and 1st is further away. The only thing in that area I know of is the newer Davidoff shop. I like to visit Cigar Inn and Nat Sherman's when I'm in town the prices are a bit high but it NYC so I just go in expecting that.

Cigar Inn also has their own line of smokes as well. I believe they're for the 5 boroughs of NYC - Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, Staten Island. Everyone else stated where I'd probably send your friend. There's Mulberry St. Cigars way downtown in Little Italy, but that's way out of your friends way. Unless, he likes the fresh hand rolled smoke which I think they lean more to producing over the name brands.

Nat sherman tonwhouse has a webstore for inventory. They got some tatuaje, illusione, crowned heads padron etc. Even their own brands. Lots to choose from.

I stop by the Nat Townhouse whenever I'm in town (helps that my office is on the same block). Really nice selection there. Cigar Inn (I've only been to the one on Second Ave) is also good and has more seats if your buddy wants to smoke while he's there. I find the selection a bit (really just a little bit) less, but still good.

Definitely have him stop by cigar inn and pick up the house blend. as another brother mentioned it comes in each borough; each borough represents a different size. It's honestly something great to have.. And the stick is amazing.

Then I would have him head over to Martinez cigars on 23rd which is like a little shoe box. But the atmosphere is AMAZING! They are always playing dominos and conversing, not to mention the amazing cigars. Their line is hand rolled there at the store, it is family owned and has been for two generations. Great amount of history to be had there. So def have him pick up a bunch of there sticks.

Was at Cigar Inn (upper east side) recently, but was disappointed. The prices are decent, but there was a lot of empty humidor space and what they did have was very generic. I get it they need to stock the shelves with what sells, but they had only one stick from a long list I was looking for. I'm in no rush to go back there and that place was always my Manhattan go-to.
If I had one shop to visit it would be Nat Sherman's on 42nd St. Prices are pretty expensive, but their selection is the best (they are a TAA shop so they carry exclusives that other B&Ms wont have from Tatuaje/Crowned Heads). Service there is top notch, too.

Wow I was in around mid September and the humi was full. Sure they didn't have much if any HTF but they did have a good selection of brands. Nats and Davidoff on Madison have the best selection of harder to find but also have the highest prices.

I was at UES Cigar Inn last week and the humidor was full. It's always full as I'm there pretty frequently since I live two blocks away.

What were you looking for?

You have been there more recently than me, so I'm happy to hear that it was full when you were there! Hopefully it remains that way. (y)

Woah woah woah woah. Lol I have to put a stop to this non sense here. Nothing is like NY pizza and that's because of our shitty water!
What's the best place in Manhattan to get a slice of pizza? When I went to Little Italy most of the good places like Lombardi's only sell by the pie.
