I think it would be wise to stock up on ammo as well, as that will be another issue. You need to have your going to the range stuff and another stash set aside for all your "SHTF" weapons.

Down here it is hard enough to get a handgun (legally) that assault riffles are not even a possibility.

All the bad guys have guns in mejico.

See law abiding citizens have even less of a chance of survival in mejico.

An armed man is a citizen, an unarmed man is a subject

It'll be a cold day in hell before i walk in to my local PD or wherever they tell i must go and hand over my guns and ammo.

If it comes to that i may just have to have it all stolen the day before.

Logistically, it would be nearly impossible to serial # every box of ammo. Unless of of course, he passes another stimulus bill.

Oh hell, the money for that may already be in his 3.55 TRILLION DOLLAR BUDGET!!!!!

I've been half tempted to just start buying whatever ammo i can get my hands on, whether i can shoot it or not. Eventually it's gonna be worth it's weight in gold.

Yep. a true definition of a talking head.

For some strange reason i think the peoples are getting tired of his campagin rhetoric and are wanting real action that doens't involve spending unfathomable amounts of money.

but back to the point, i'm pulling the trigger within the next 5 days...gonna buy a stag. just need to research optics.

any thoughts on optics?

I'd heard rumors that this could very well happen during the elections. Since Obama has taken office assult style riffles have wint up like 30%. I really wanted an AR in .308. But I'm not sure if I want to drop that kind of $$ on one.

Do you guys notice that ammo is getting harder to find as well? I went to a big sporting goods store and the shelves were only 1/3 of the way stocked. Most of the common pistol calibers were sold out except a box or 2 of some expensive hollow point ammo.

After that I went down to Wal Mart and it was about the same there as well.

I called down to my local gunshop and they told me that there ammo sales have gone up dramaticaly in the last 2 weeks?

I'll take my .45/70 over any assualt rifle anyday.
I understand that...those Marlin guide-guns pack a punch! I have a lever action .44-40 that's over 100 years old, and if I could only grab one long gun on my way out of the house it would be that one, not one of the AR-15s. The new rifles are fun to shoot, but there's something about a cowboy rifle that's hard to beat.

Me brothers got a his first gun he ever bought, a 30-30. man, that bullet looks like it'll pack a wallop on yo ass! Its gonna leave a mark...a very big one. It'll be goin with us for sure when we head for the hills when the SHTF.

I picked up my AR-15 today. Went with a DPMS instead of Stag arms. Appear to be the same damn gun but the DPMS cam e with more accessories. Picked up a few rounds with it. Now i just need the optics and some practice.
