CA Photoshops

On my most recent rip to my outer office (the throne room) i took a casual glance at the cover of the current issue of CA and noticed somthing peculiar.

If you'll look at Kevin Costner's right hand, you'll notice he's holding a cigar. If you look at the cut on that cigar, you'll notice that there isn't one, and the pointed end of the torpedo is pushing into his thumb.

Now look at how even the burn is on that cigar!!!

How's he do that?!?!

I'm a bit dissappointed in CA. :frown: I knew they touched up bikini models and the like, but cigars?!?! Maybe he was really only holding a pencil.

Speaking of razor sharp burns. I got a box of HDM Dark Sumatra almost a year ago. Those things when I first got them burned wavy like most cigars and then they got buried under some other smokes. So I've dug them out and I've been smoking them in the mornings on weekends with coffee. They taste great, and they burn slow and so straight it caught me off guard.

You're right, and mostly I'm amazed that they didn't just photoshop a cut off the end so nobody would notice.

They're sloppy and your eyes are better than mine.

As the resident private investigator, i'll say that i'm trained to look for such things. It's the details that solve mysteries

I noticed it right away... it is a big opps-a-daisy... not sure what is so dissappointing about it.

it is a magazine cover not a work of art... i am no professional, but i do know that damn near every photograph in a magazine, catalog, or any other advertisment... they are gonna do a whole lot of touch up. I use to work for a catalog and to save on a reshoot we would just cut the heads off of models and place them on other bodies.

By no means am I making excuses for the artist... he/she should of caught that. But I don't think it is going to make the contents of the magazine better or worse. I don't think I'm going to have a different opinion about a bunch of kids playing poker on the internet and making millions, because Kevin's cigar is magic!

If you are going to worry about cA's integrity then just keep burning all of those Vegas issues with the man-faced showgirl on the cover.:hysterica
