I am looking to move into refrigerator storage and could pick this one up for cheap (very cheap). Anyone know which it is and if it's any good? The guy told me it "It does not cool all the way, but it does run." I would be storing it in my basement that never gets very warm so I didn't think that was a big deal. am I wrong?

thanks for any help

It reminds me of an Avanti VinoTemp....is there a metal tag on the back with a serial number?

As long as the seal is good and you're not concerned with it cooling then you'll be good to go. Depends on how cheap you can pick it up.

Not thermoelectric... that size being compressor driven will be tough to deal with.

If you are looking to do climate controlled storage, be careful with that. A thermoelctric model will not have that shelf in the back (hump) or the plate in the back.

You want to see a fan in the back middle... and that's about it.

BTW - Looks like a cheap-o danby or something similar.

That looks like a Avanti 28 which is thermo. I would say less then 50 dollars is a good price if its not cooling. Basically the fan is running but the peltier(sp) is not working.(common)

From what I have been told you don't really want one with a compressor ..........its hard to keep humidity..........just my 2 cents:thumbsup:

I saw some sweet deals on c-list while I was looking for mine. The best deals were on the compressor-cooled boxes. May actually hunt one down for the wife's wine now that I'm squared away with a Vino.

If it's not working (except the fan) and u have a basement. For 25 bucks IMO is a great price. Just a thought.

I got another refrigerator yesterday from a liquidation auction.
Unplug it, get you some beads and as long as the seals are
intact you're good to go!
