Candela / Claro smokes

Is the 8-5-8 still the gold standard for Candela smokes? I am thinking of picking up a few--haven't smoked them in ages but found them a nice change of pace in the past. What I've read says that the Curlyhead is terrible because of the short filler, and people seem hit or miss on the Iguana.

Thoughts? (And yes I know that there are a lot of people that just don't like candela/Claro smokes, and fair enough, but this topic proceeds from the assumption that I like them).

I would never smoke a candela.... but from what I've read the Illusione Candelas are some of the best made

I've never had a candela I enjoyed. But I've heard great things about the RomaCraft Fomorian. There are a bunch of chat brothers that love that thing.

Same here, all tasted like week old cut grass. The Illusione however would be my choice as it seemed much better than the others I have tried. I think the stronger blend covers the flavor of the wrapper.

I like Candelas, I've had the Filthy Hooligan and the RC Fomorian EMH and they're always good. I do prefer the EMH more so than the hooligan though..

The HL lance in candela is nice. I also like the Fuente Spanish lonsdale candela...
