So I have had this CAO Americana Pontimac sitting in my humi for at least a year. Yesterday I finally decided to light it up. I found the cigar to be a bit one-dimensional, with little flavor evolution. It reminded me of all the other CAO's I have had. It was a solid smoke, but I found it to be a tad unexciting. I must say though, the wrapper was one of the most beautiful that I have ever seen. Any thoughts on this cigar if you have smoked it as well?

I have not had it but I have had the Mx2 box press maduro. It was not exciting either. Kind of dull. But who knows I have only had one CAO.

I really don't like this blend. Found it harsh and off-putting. Oh, and it's Potomac.

Although I was pleasantly surprised with their new release the La Traviata.

RobustoMoe, try one, you might like it. I dont consider it to be a dog rocket or anything, but its really not anything to write home about, especially for 7-8 bucks a stick.

I bought a 4 pack sampler of these. I tried one and it was just OK. Since my birthday is July 4th I'm saving the perfecto for that. So when I'm ready it will have a year in the box on it. I hope that makes it a little more interesting.

Did the sampler have 4 Americanas or did it have a Italiano and a Brazilia as well? Thats the sampler I picked up and it was mediocre all around

I couldn't agree more with your assessment. One-dimensional and very little flavor evolution.

The one I smoked had two wrappers, one a maduro and one a conn. wrapper. I was hoping that these two flavors would interplay with each other in an interesting way, however they just seemed to cancel one another out.
