It was bound to happen I suppose. I'm guessing it's a flat charge for one item then it keeps adding a much lower charge to each item? Assuming it's not like $1-2 per extra item, it's not too bad. I've not used them in awhile but I still would for some brands that places like SBC would never carry.

I guess you can't change the shipping date and push it back like you could in the past. Used to be able to move it to say Thursday and then switch it to Tuesday and gain an extra week or more to place more bids.

Shipping Cost of Additional Units
  • Instead of paying individual shipping charges for each product, multiple items shipped to the same address won during the same shipping period (either DAILY or WEEKLY), only the greater of the shipping charges apply, plus an amount for each additional item:
    • Singles Category: $0.25
    • 5-Packs Category: $0.50
    • Boxes Category: $1.00
    • Merchandise Category: $1.00
    • Samplers Category: $1.00
    • Free Fall Category: $1.00
    • All Others: $1.00
I believe that is the change? I've not used cbid in awhile now so not sure but I only ever remember paying whichever amount was the highest and that was it for any number of items.

Increasing sales by changing to different methods of how to have consumers buy more to save money...S/H is usually the way they go because they want the consumer to think they are getting a better bang for the buck by ordering more product to save on S/H. I tend to use Tampa Humidor a lot when looking to sample cigars that I haven't smoked yet....S/H is free on every single size cigar so that takes the bite out of charges and they are pretty good on pricing, too.

I didn't realize you could manipulate the system to gain extra time. As for the new rates, they don't look glaringly higher than previously. Personally, the previous method was kind of confusing this is cleaner to read and understand I guess.
