My grandparents decided they want to take us on a 5 day cruise in April, so I went and filed for a passport right away.

Anyone else been on Celebrity cruises? I was reading about the ship, and apparently they removed the cigar lounge because not a lot of people went there and replaced it with some piano bar that nobody visits anyway. Theres a casino and other stuff to do, I am sure I will find something.

My sister, me, Dad, Stepmom, two sets of Aunt/Uncle, both grandparents will be going. Oh and my little cousin who won't even be 2 years old is going, and the cruise line made them pay for him! What the heck is that about?

Only went on Disney Cruise this year, so I am no help about Celebrity. There should be certain smoking decks and if you have a veranda can generally smoke there too. Be prepared for windy conditions amigo.

Have fun with the family Josh. Be sure to say thanks again to the Grandparents for putting me up for the night.

Yes, my wife and I sailed on a seven day cruise on Celebrity's Century ship back in 2007. Considered the best of the large ship lines, I've nothing but praise for Celebrity. Of course, you get what you pay for. We had a large suite so I smoked on my deck and had no use for the smoking lounge.

Mixed crowd of various ages. Plenty of single women on the prowl. Dump the cigar and family and get yourself a little action. ;)

Thank your grandparents profusely before refusing to wear the matching "Kleiner Family Reunion" they got each of you.

Been on Royal Caribbean. Smoke in the back of the ship if you have to smoke outside. The body of the ship will block the wind. You do deal with the engine noise then, but better than ash in the eye.

My only real advice, and it's a little shady, but worth it. Bring some of your own liquor. The bar bill can get rediculous, because there is no cash used on these ships. It all comes on one bill at the end of the trip. I just stashed a couple of bottles in my bag and our friends poured a bottle of rum and a bottle of vodka in to large water bottles and carried them on in thier pourses in plain view. We figured we saved about $500 in bar tabs by doing so. Just buy the "SODA PASS" so you can get free refills on sodas for mixers. Otherwise, have a freaking blast and be sure to go to the adult only shows, no nudity, but Hella Fun.

I've been on one Celebrity Cruise to the Caribbean, and a couple Holland America cruises. Wasn't old enough to smoke on the Celebrity cruise, but I remember all the hot babes in bikinis running around everywhere! It was a pretty fun cruise! I've had a suite with a private balcony on previous cruises, so we smoked there. I think once there was a 'cigar club' or something on one of the cruises, and you could smoke on the pool deck, which had a retractable roof. Not sure where all you can smoke nowadays, but you'll have a blast!

I've not been on a cruise yet, but I'll probably go someday. I've done some research in the past though.
Here's a good website for info, opinions, etc.

We are going on the Celebrity Century. Leaves from Miami and stops in Grand Cayman and Jamaica. Would be nice to have longer than one day at port, but I guess you can't expect much with only 5 days cruise.

We did too, but when we bought alchohhol on board or in port, they take it from you until the cruise is over. Sometimes you can "talk" the cashier into giving it to you now. The stuff we bought in port, just went down the front of my pants until we got on board.
