Cello isn't moisture proof

I just read up a bit on cellophane on Wikipedia. It mentions that cello is waterproof but is permeable to water vapor. That means that cigars breathe in the humidor even when wrapped tightly with cellophane. I might be less likely to unwrap my cigars now.

Yeah.... Im still a fan of unwrapping them though.

I just like the look of opening up my Humi and seein all that goodness. I dont want to see my reflection in those cello wraps..... Im one ugly dude!

It's permeable, but takes some time to breath, whereas removing it allows the cigar to breath freely. Downside is that you lose the protection when you take it off.

As a compromise, I leave the cello on, but cut the foot off, so that it's open and can breath.
