Looking for a birthday CC. Going to be travelling outside the US and not a US citizen so no rules broken. New to cigars like them very mild and creamy. Short list from research. Thoughts and suggestions?
  • Quai d`Orsay Imperiales
  • Juan Lopez Seleccion No. 1
  • Hoyo de Monterrey Palmas Extra
Thanks

Can't speak for the Qdo or JL as I don't have a ton of experience with them. I can howerever speak for the Palma extra becuase it's my favorite cheap cigar. I would definatley not put them in the mild and creamy catagory. They are more of a medium spicy stick.

I'd say Monte or Cohiba Siglo for what you described...but you may also really like Ramon Allones because they're soooo flavorful and they're easy flavors to pick up. :)

I love JL but they need some rest on them to be good. Bolivar also needs some rest and can be a tad strong. PSD4s are great and very popular but a little on the strong side.

The QdO Imperiales is a great cigar. Do try and have one.

Other "First Cubans" I'd recommend.

Partagas Series D4 // H Upmann Magnum 50 // Ramon Allones Specially Selected // Montecristo Especiale No 1 // RyJ Short Churchill
