This is sad news. Even though I didn't agree at ALL with his worldview, nor his lack of logic (explaining his worldview), I found his humor amusing. He challenged Christians to defend our faith...which I thank him for.

Good writer, earning prizes for his skills and dedication. I'll sure miss his humor and defying character hehe.

British-American writer Christopher Hitchens— the combative and caustic critic, intellectual, atheist and self-defined "conservative Marxist" — died Thursday at the age of 62 at a Texas hospital.

The cause of death was pneumonia, a complication of oesophageal cancer. He died Thursday night at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, surrounded by family and friends.

Sorry to hear that. I found Hitchens was always fun to watch/read, even (and most usually, especially) when he was being obnoxious.

Live hard, die hard. That man did what he wanted, when he wanted and didn't mind telling everyone how he wanted it.
Great mind, quick wit, sharp tongue, amazing ability to voice his idea and have them understood and a man missed by many.

Not a fan nor do I agree with his philosophy of politics and faith but I do admire the hell out someone that has the conviction to defend them or to abandon them when he realizes that those ideals have become contrary to his beliefs. Hitchens did both, we could use more people in the world like that, RIP.
