Cigar Beetle Prevention for Tatuaje/Pepin Product

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone can confirm how/if Pepin treats his tobacco for cigar beetles?? Pete, can you please chime in on this?

Pepin fumigates monthly from what I know. The real key with any cigar is to keep temp and humidity 70 and below to avoid any bug problems. 7 years working with Pepin, I have never had a problem. The only problem I have seen is from poorly kept humidors.

70 degrees and below is a good rule of thumb. If you don't feel comfortable with the product freeze for 24 hours below 0 degree and refrigerate for 48 hours.
