I'm traveling to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic in Sept and I'm trying to find some cigar factories to visit and buy some nice quality smokes cheap. I know of Don Lucas. Do anyone else have any insight?

Most factories don't sell "wholesale" to the public. Certain countries have strict laws on the sale of cigars at there factories. They have to export the shipments and reimport them.

Domenico Cigars and Don Lucas Cigars...they are not that expensive (probably around $7 a stick believe). A little bit farther of Punta Cana is La Romana, place where Tabacalera de Garcia is...that's where they make La Gloria Cubana, Seijas Signature, and some other cigars by Altladis.

BTW, yeah, big factories can't sell you their cigars because of the law here but small factories like Domenico and Don Lucas can. Even if you go to some big factories they can give you some gifts for you to try 'em...

Thanks for all the great info guys. I sent a email to Rafael at Don Lucas and they said will pick you from your hotel for a tour and you can buy cigars there. Let me know if you guys know of any other places. Thanks Again

For how long will you be here? Cuz a trip to Santiago or Santo Domingo would be really nice...Santiago got EPC, PDR, AF, La Aurora, and some others...
