Is anyone on here a member of a cigar lounge? With winter upon us, it would be nice to have a nice warm place warm to go and smoke.

I have a place about 15 minutes from me that is nice, it is byob, you can bring food in and there are lockers for cigar storage too. Price is $175 for a year and they are going to have members discounts.

Looking for thoughts and opinions on memberships. Thanks guys.

None of the lounges I go to have a cover, so I buy a stick or two and relax. Sometimes I smoke their sticks, sometimes I bring my own and save theirs for later. Depends on my mood. That being said, I am not against the option, I just haven't had the need. I have a NewAir at home for storage and I know that if I get a locker, I'll stock it. The fiancé would not be happy about that.

It's a good option for people like me, who can't smoke at home (Condo and HOA regs). It might be a good option for next year.

The shop I hang out in some time has a lounge area, nice comfortable chairs, TV's, and is FREE. It kind of a blue collar, or no collar place. The kid who run the shop is good to me, so I said my thank yous with a 5th. Of good Bourbon for X-MAS.

There are several private lounges inside B & M shops in the Valley of the Sun, membership is $1,200.00 - $6,000.00 ++ a year. If you want the experience of hanging out with "new money" you will fit right in if you drive a BMW, wear a Rolex, and dress like GQ. No it my kind of place.

Couple of other shops have smoking louges that are for customers, and friend of customers. The one place that is in Hoytoityville has a Davidoff Lounge this shop is like a high end auto dealer, not your average Cigar shop.

We got a nice place here in OH that has a great large lounge. Same deal buy a few sticks and BYOB...

Back in DC, there were a couple lounges that were pay to play, didn't get involved with those. But a great FREE one where you could buy food and drink (not cigars) - Shelly's Backroom I can't give this place bigger kudos. Really miss it.

I understand some places don’t want people coming in, hanging out and never buying anything but if I go to a place and buy a box, why the next time I go in do I need to make another purchase to be able to hand out and smoke?

Wouldn’t mind paying an upfront reasonable cost to b able to walk in, sit down and not get my balls busted for not buying anything.

i would always offer paying a cutting fee at my local, however they stuck to the whole "you can only smoke cigars you buy here in the lounge"

so i ended up having a cigar room built.
I would kindly tell them to pound sand.

There is a shop here that has a $30 minimum purchase to use their lounge or $400/year. The cigar I wanted to buy wouldn't have qualified me to smoke it in their lounge, so I put it back and left. I will not return to his shop, and politely informed him that was why.

I don't mind paying to play, but what I smoke and when should be my choice. If I am spending money, that should be enough.

Save yourself some dough, buy the box online and save the singles you want to try for the B&Ms....frankly I just bring my cigar case with me I will usually purchase something and put it in my box and smoke something else.

I’ve heard horror stories about lockers also, not being very well maintained. Not about this shop, just places that do this in general.

My one and only B&M has lockers to rent also. No fee for smoking, they only ask that you smoke from their walk-in. You are allowed to bring a smoke but you still need to purchase one. It’s only fair imo. They have to pay the rent some how.

I would highly recommend Milan Tobacconists in Roanoke Virginia if your ever in the area. They have a top notch walk in humidor that is well stocked at all times. There is also a public smoking area where friendly conversation can always be found. On the second floor is the members only Commonwealth Cigar Club with members lockers, comfortable seating, pool table and kitchen area. The owners take great pride in their business and are a true class act.

I used to go to the Cigar Warehouse in Sherman Oaks, CA. It was fun and I met some cool people over cigars.

But now my "lounge" to keep me warm Is my garage. Lol. If any of you want to come to Missouri and have a herf, come through. Cigars on me.

My local place is free to smoke in you just have to buy something from them. I'll bring a few sticks and purchase something and watch the game. I prefer smoking outdoors so I'll only go if it is really cold or raining.

The good thing is there is still Corona Club in Vacaville. The owners are good people. I went into the shop that is closing once and had a very bad experience so I am not surprised. Go say hi to Brian and his wife sometime, they will take care of you.
