Im fairly new to this site and smoking cigars. Ive been doing alot of reading and learning alot here. Im very curious as to what cigars cost in Cuba. Can anyone share their purchasing experience in Cuba, whether it was by you or someone purchasing for you? I hear that the cost isnt much different.
Thanks.

Suckling was quoted saying that they are 15% less than Europe, that sounds a bit off. As of Savona's blog a few days ago:

Montecristo No. 5 sells for 3.60 Cuban Convertible Pesos (about $4.25)
Cohiba Esplendido is 17.95 CUC ($21.50).

I was in Cuba in Jan\10. The prices are deffinitely different, but not by a whole lot for the most part, depends if you factor in shipping if it is included with your order. These prices were all directly from the Casa del Habano store in Varadero, there were 2 there, but this one was the cheaper of the two with better selection.
I bought 4 boxes while there these were the prices in American Dollars:
2-box RASS = $123
1-box Monte 2's = $190
1-box R&J Short Churchill = $147
Single Siglo VI = $16
Single Siglo V = $15
Single Monte Petite Edmundo = $5
1-3 pack Parti D4's = $17 or $18 (cant remember)

I also noted other prices but did not buy:
1-box Esplendidos = $440
1-box Siglo VI = $380
1-box Siglo V = $330
1-box Parti D4's = $145

That was like heavan for myself, 6 days of nothing but relaxing and smoking almost as much as I wanted (wife put the brakes to my spending spree after the 3rd day).

Wouldn't you like to know?
The price difference really depend on what you are looking for. Reg production stuff is not really that much different then the online discount retailers. The best deals seem to be on different or harder to find things. Gold medals sold for 56CUC, box of 3 coffins of Culebra's was 21CUC. Then there were the really good deals LGC jar was 236 CUC, O'Reilly book was $585CUC, and Grand Reserva's were 785CUC. Don't remember the prices on the other humi's but def the higher the price the better the deal. Then their are other deals to be had as well but those kinda depend on how well connected you are. I smoked a lot of Behike's this year :)

From what ive seen, the prices on general production stuff seems to be $30-50 cheaper in cuba as opposed too high volume online relators. I am generalizing quite a bit here though

pm me and I can help you with a price list if you'd like
