Looks like I might be heading across the border this weekend. Would like to grab a CC or 2 while I'm there does anybody have a recommendation that isn't a complete rip off or am I basically pipe dreaming here? Last time I was there I passed because I only found one place driving around and it was really over-priced.

There's an lcdh on Oullette (358 Ouellette Ave, Windsor, ON. (519) 254-0017 http://casadelhabano.ca/ ) but the prices on any cuban cigar here are pretty much stomach-turning.

For instance, you're looking at over $50 for a single cohiba robusto, in the $25-30 range for a psd4. Add that in to the fact that you can't smoke pretty much anywhere indoors (including cigar shops) and I really don't know how they manage to stay in business.

My only experience with crossing the border is down south. So my only suggestion might not be so helpful for you, but if anyone else is reading this on the southern border, heed my words: "Don't buy a cigar at the bull fighting ring." Cobihas, and yes that was the spelling, are gross.

Thanks for the help and I'm like 99% sure that this is the store I went to before. The $50 price tag is not one that you will quickly forget, especially when you can find them online for just a tad over $10 a stick at many place online. I'd rather just take the risk of them getting snatched by customs shipping them in from a website at that price. There are always idiot Americans looking to spend tons of money on Cubans who know nothing about cigars though so you can't blame them I suppose. Is it like this everywhere in Canada or if I went further north would I be able to make a score that isn't ridiculously expensive?
