Okay, so I know a lot of guys buy special boxes for kid's birthdays, or box codes of the kiddo's birth month, etc. Very cool. So now that I have a new baby girl, I've been thinking about what cigars I will dedicate to her every time I smoke them. Here's the list so far, with explanations:

Mini Mum
The name:
--Given that she was born a week before Halloween and I love Tatuajes, picking a Monster to dedicate to my new baby girl is a no-brainer
--She will, no doubt, sometimes be a Little Monster
--She looks like a miniature version of her Mum (mommy)
--Tonight when I put her down for a nap, I swaddled her in a white blanket and she totally looked like a baby mummy!!!
Character of the cigar:
--Soft and creamy, yet peppery and feisty at the same time.
--Yummy and complex
--Can be enjoyed all the time (any time of day)

La Palina Goldie
The name:
--My kids are blonde, so "Goldie" just seems appropriate
--Pretty girl on the band
Character of the cigar:
--Smooth, but feisty.
--Demanding, but very rewarding
--So complex she's hard to figure out, but a ton of fun

Tres Reynas
--Now that I have 3 girls (2 daughters and my wife), I think this cigar will always be dedicated to them :)

That's what I have so far. I'm sure as i get to know my daughter better, I'll find some more cigars to dedicate to her as well.

DISCLAIMER: Don't let this title mislead you--I'm not an advocate of giving cigars to babies, lol. Oh, and my avatar shows my son with a Lincoln Log in his mouth, people, lol! I just thought it was cool that it looked like a stogie :).

That's awesome man. I had planned to smoke a God of Fire on my Sons birthday every year because his name is Ayden which means fire.

I went with the LAT Maduro 44 to smoke each year on our son's bday. Main reason I went with them...well...cuz JDog bought me the box and had Pete, Casper, Dan and KC sign it and JDog wrote, "From Uncle JDog" on the box. LOL

Congrats sir.

This may be the best thread title ever. I love that you have to make a disclaimer.

Personally, I think I'd look for a cigar that will age well and possibly stand the test of time. MiniMums are scarce already and likely to be gone forever before too long. I'd pick a regular production cigar that's going to be available for a long time.

I'm still considering what to make the twins' special smoke. I'm thinking a double corona of some kind, maybe the new Monte... cause you know... there's two if them... double the trouble and all that.

Great idea brother!

This is how I see it, no matter the cigar don't let $ or availability affect it. If mini mums are what you want, and you want 60 of them everyone here will help you make it happen (truthfully) and if you want Goldie's and the $ is a factor the. Trade away some of the current stash and stock up. If we can all find liga pigs (2009-2010) original Olivas (2003) or CC's from the 70's, then it shouldn't be that hard :)

We are all hoarders; some for flor de Olivas, some for Ligas. The common thread we have it the desire to help out a few brother with a truly good cause. I bet after this post you may be able to get at least a dozen mini muns together... Imagine what a few months could do for you! :)

I say lets do it, time to hoard for the little princess

Love the idea. But I have 2 boys and they don't make a rug rat or hell raiser cigar. LOL. But what are your thoughts on the Tres Reynas? I've been interested in trying one, especially the new corona size.
LMK your thoughts on them.

Thx..
Doug
