Not sure if it's relavent or not, but my wireless guitar for the Xbox 360 work flawlessly and battery life thus far has been great.

I have heard they are not as good as they should be. I know my wireless controller works great but the batteries go dead pretty quick. I have never used the wireless guitar, but my buddy says it works great about 70% of the time. You can probably find the wired guitar for less. Also check craigs list. I found the 2 guitar and CD bundle for $70.

I also have mine set up on a 27 inch screen, so if I sat too far away I wouldn't be able to see anyway.
