Today was a beautiful day outside. So I decided to treat myself to an extra special smoke. My first Clear Havana. I believe it is from somewhere in the 1940's-1960's.
The clip was a little dry, but perfect.
The light was great. I even inhaled some of this bad boy. The draw was good. I never had a single burn issue. Not one relight.
The initial taste was very sweet but yet a slight bit sour too. In the first third there were were smooth tastes of sweet ceder & a hint of some type of nuts. The ash held on for about a half an inch before it dropped.
The second third of this old timer got a little better. I could taste more ceder & other "earthy" tastes. The ash held on for about an inch this time. I noticed that a hint of that sweet taste is on my lips.
The last third was the best part. I've never had a smoke that was this smooth & sweet. I got a hint of lime maybe. Now there are clouds of creamy smoke. The ash now falls freely.
I smoked it down until I burned my finger tips.
Then I smoked it a tiny bit more. Until there was nothing left.
I was sorry to see it end. But it was well worth it. It was great to get to smoke a little bit of history.
