I am a coder and business owner from Santa Cruz, Ca and was referred by a good buddy, Splatt, to this forum. He spoke so highly of the community that I just had to come check it out myself. I have limited smoking experience, I usually smoke around 1-3 cigars per year, but I recently have a Epic Maduro Reserva that was brought back from the DR from a buddy of mine and it blew my mind. So smooth and delicious that I decided to take the next step in getting into this hobby. Splatt recently upgraded his humidor so I go donated his 50 count and I am at the place where I am looking to fill it and expand my palate. I don't really have a regular smoke since it is usually whatever friends have brought over; I usually provide the alcohol and friends bring the cigars.
My other hobbies include motorcycles (1998 Ducati 916, 1964 Ducati 350 restoring, 2000 Triumph Thunderbird cafe racer, 1998 BMW R1100RT), recently got back into cars (2002 E46 M3 convertible oxford green/cinnamon), surfing, mountain biking, paintball, snowboarding, and cross fit, though I am working through a broken wrist that is being stubborn to heal. I am a big gear head and wrench on all my own stuff.
The breath of information on this forum and in its member base is outstanding and I look forward to loosing many hours sifting through it. The history and technique that goes through production of this product is truly fascinating and worthy of respect and I hope to expand my palate enough to be able to appreciate a small sliver of the effort that goes into the creation of a cigar.
