Hey guys, I'm scoping out my next box purchase for later this year, and the Cohiba Coronas Especiales look prrreeeettttyyy tempting to me. However, I'm a bit concerned by the price tag. I know there's a lot of Cohiba hype, but I'm curious to hear from you guys that have purchased boxes and laid them down for a few years: are you satisfied?

you can buy the lances in a 5 pack if you want to stay within a budget and test out the flavor profile, they are similar enough flavor profile

I've never had one myself, but a lot of more experienced brothers pointed me toward these for laying down for a long time. I believe the story went that they closed up the garage to keep the smoke in, so they could smell it. Haha. I'll probably be going this route (or the lanceros) for my son's birth cigars (buy a box with his birth code and smoke one from the box every year on his birthday.)

Thanks KGD, and that's awesome pbibby! Great idea! I've heard great things regarding these, but I've heard some of the Cuban QC horror stories that comes along with any box. Just want to be as informed as possible!

That was me from a CE from the 97-98 special release humidor. Funny you remember that story from here. One of the best cigars I've ever smoked in my life. Period.
