thanks to my friend in washington state for the dry fly, from what i understand that's the only place you can get it,and i bombed myself with the gran reserva. it happens sometimes...lol

nice solid feel, smells like butter dipped in smoked paprika
pre-light puffs and i can taste the creaminess already.

thick solid draw, ample smoke,no bite, creamy and spicy at the same time

1st sip of dry fly. a tangy citrus, like biting into an orange peel. goes down smooth though

zilla,that's not for you!
and i don't know where you got that chain, but stop playing mr. g and put it back!

1/3 of the way in and it has settled into a nice creamy dream like cigar.
paired with the exciting dry fly,it's like taking a nap on a roller coaster, you know you're on a wild ride, but you're comfortable with it

slow burning, slow sipping,it's a good way to spend an afternoon.
1/2 halfway and there are no real changes in the flavors. same creamy, light spice from the gran reserva, and a smoothness from the dry fly that could get a person a little tipsy if he weren't careful...lol

a puff of smoke,a sip of fly and i have a nutty barley taste happening.
soft grey ash, fell at about every 1 1/2"
puff, sip, smile. i could definitely get used to this!
you know i like it when the hat matches the cigar.

2/3 and it's getting a little spicier, with a touch of cocoa creeping in. i believe it has changed gears from cruise to go.
gotta twang working now. more of the grassy flavor that i'm used to coming through

last couple of inches and it's kicking now! got that grassy barnyard thing happening.
oh how i love that grassy barnyard thing! the dry fly is adding barley and citrus nuances that are an added plus to the cigar
had to remove the bands, i wanna smoke it all

no doubt about nubbin this one. the final puffs are trance-like with visions of granduer,i see myself buying a box of these and smoking happily ever after...

a smooth sipping whiskey,an easy puffing cigar, and a crazy reptile to hang out with. does life get any better than this?
i'm not sure i could handle it if it did...lol

thanks for reading. hope you enjoyed the review!

I know a few with mixed reviews of the GR. But the one I had one easily one of the best cigars to date I've had the pleasure of smoking. Like it smoked itself. How did you rank it Ron? (Yes I know you like it! lol)

Great review man! I have smoked a total of 4 of these and i actually just smoked one like a week ago and they are so fantastic. I get a sweet taste of honey in them like no other cigar. Simply amazing and they will only get better as technically they are still a "young" cigar despite the aged tobacco.
