Smoked a couple of these of various sizes. Not impressed. Had a magicos today and it was ehhhh. I don't see the point in these short/fat cigars. It got a little better towards the end of the cigar, I'll give it that. Immediately after it, I lit up a Bolivar Petit Corona and man did that hit the spot. Just your humble everyday cigar will hit the spot more-so than the glitz & glamor cigars.

I have ( had lol) a box of 08 magicos. Everyone I've gifted has asked, when are we ordering another. They were also sick up 2 to last fall as well then turned 360 into something special.

A buddy of mine has been raving about the Genios he just got and telling me I have to try them. I was looking forward to trying these, but will go into it with a more tempered expectation.

I haven't had any of the Maduro 5's but I find that everyday cigars in general do more for me. I had a Padron 45th recently that I couldn't care for at all..had a 64 Exclusivo today that was wonderful. I have had a couple of EL's that weren't worth my time..I'll take a Partagas Short over just about any of the EL's I've had so far.

I definitely agree for the most part Cliff!

Just had a Genios the other day, and it was very very good.

In fact, because it was so different from the Linea 1492, I started realizing that perhaps Cohiba hasn't lost all its charm completely.

Jason, I tend to agree with you about the EL's... A little bit of over-hype perhaps. However, and my wife hates when I say this, the Piramides EL 2k6 is good enough to make love to. :)

Never liked these maduros. I'd go as far as saying that they are a marketting gimmick to attract American consumers. I'd take a cohiba robusto instead of those overpriced sticks. And I agree with Faouzi regarding the Cohiba Pirameds EL 2006 these babys are sent from the heavens.

We all shared a box of Secretos today from PLM June 07. The shared opinion was bold, flavorful & still with room to improve. Are they a cigar for the ages; no, but for $180 a box, they're damn good.

Secretos were one of the worst cigars I have ever smoked...not indicative of the Cohiba namesake at all IMO. :tongueout

Smoked my first Genios in 2 years this past week. I did it blind and went on record to say that I thought it was Nicaraguan tobacco, specifically from Esteli. Oops...
