Cold Weather and Humidors.

Hey all. Its starting to get cold here in Massachusetts. Does anyone have any information regarding cold temperatures and humidors?

A little too cool is better than a little too warm...

If you're keeping your house where you want it (temp wise) and the humidor is away from outside walls and windows, you should be ok I would think.

Ron and the other borthers will have more technical advice I am sure.

Never gets that cold here in CA but from what I understand most people "winterize" the humidor, i.e. reseason it and and extra humidification elements, i recomend heartfelt beads.

cooler temps are better than warmer temps regarding beetles.
cool northern winters and home heating mean your home will be a lot drier. just keep track of your humdity levels, and if need be add supplemental, portable humidification if need be. Bovedas, water pillows, beads will all work
