New Orleans, La., August 12, 2009 – One of the clear trends in cigar company marketing is the use of more and more in-store events, reaching smokers through local retailers in hundreds of cities nationwide. At the 77th International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers Association (IPCPR) convention and trade show, it’s clear that even more events will be coming to a store near you.

Three extra-large programs stood out at the show, each offering a different experience - and much different takeaways - for the smoker:

Altadis U.S.A.’s “Operation Hope”, Graycliff Cigar Company’s "Project-X" and General Cigar’s “Macanudo Millionaire”

Altaldis can keep their cigars thank you very much. Greycliff sounds like fun.

I agree with Chuck, Altadis can keep theirs and don't say Comacho around me, they had me sit through three episodes of the Black Band Project and never sent me the sticks... (Table's ready for bitter, party of one). The Graycliff Project is for me. I was at a event hosted at our local B&M and one of their reps slipped me something which was un-named and he claimed that their executives we smokinbg this. Well. it was tastier than a Double Espresso or anything I have ever had from them. I hope this is what Project X is.
