Coolidor & 70% beads

I got ~60QT Igloo cooler and 70% beads thinking that I will need some extra kick during winter (* living in NJ). Calibrated hygrometer is showing 73-74.

Why 4+ ?

Would 65% be a wiser choice ?

you'll have a bit of a drop in the winter... not a rise in humidity...
If your hygro was calibrated with salt... then I suggest you re do it, with a Boveda pack, and save the salt for french fries.

Beads take time to settle, so give it some time, you'll be fine with 70%.

Your beads aren't working. You should send all your cigars to me because my 65% beads are working just fine. I don't even have a hygrometer!

I know, that's why I got extra amount of beads and went for 70% b/c of NorthEast cold temperatures which causes heat system to be on 24/7.

Interesting comment. Will look at Boveda vs. salt test and let you know how it went.
