What a dumbass!

Rule 1: Always listen to what the police tell you to do.
Rule 2: Always listen to what the police tell you to do.

Never would have escalated if dumbass had simply given the officer his id, not been belligerent, and not kept trying to walk away.

Exactly.

Also I have never seen a camera that cuts off 2/3rds of the frame. The person that posted the video obviously cut off the sides of the video in an attempt to show only what he wanted shown. Who knows what else was happening in the blacked out area.

I think he had a widescreen camera (like an iphone or some such) turned vertical.

Could be something like an iPhone held upright (portrait mode). That'll give you the odd cropped appearance.

I guess I'm missing the crazy part. The guy kept walking away from the cops and didn't follow directions. I think they showed a lot of restraint. The guy in the red shirt weaving between them and getting in the way deserved a pair of cuffs as well.

Yeah the guy was a douche. He said something disrespectful to the PD. My guess would be he knew it would and that's why he said it. All he had to do was give the officer his ID, let him run it and say he was sorry (even if he didn't mean it). Instead he picked a fight and got what he deserved. Who knows, maybe dispatch came back with arrest warrants for the guy :dunno:.
