Has anyone had luck with this? Any tips? Im not a huge fan of infused stuff but I had a bunch of Famous "bundle" types laying around (Maduro/Connecticut/Corojo) and I thought I would try it out as a winter project. I threw them all into a tupperware container with a bunch of soaked spanish cedar pieces I picked up at my local wood supply shop. I heard it takes about three months with an open container of rum, so ive been watching and "recharging" the wood every few weeks. Let me know what you guys have had success with or if its even worth it.

I assume that the 'project' above includes an open bottle of rum along with the cedar chips? (I ask because it was not mentioned!) if so, what rum did you go with?

The frozen tundra of Minnesota.
I have some T52 Robustos in a small cedar-lined container with some PSD4. They've been there for about a year.

I'll bust one out soon.

My wife used to get panatelas which were previously soaked in cognac from a St Paul cigar shop. They smelled amazing.

I doubt there will ever be an update. The post was from 2012 and Gavin is no longer active on BOTL.
