I know its been said (wow, sounds like I am singing christmas carols) many times, many ways (damn, I am singing a christmas carol), but I just wanted to say that I feel like a kid on Christmas morning as I just picked up a Las Mareas from my B&M today (actually 3 of them).
In my short cigar smoking history of about 2 years I have never ran across a label that was more consistent with tasty blends (for me since flavor is subjective) than CH. It all started with a Jericho Hill at my weekly herf (rotate bringing the stick of the night) that a buddy brought. I was a little intimidated as I had gotten bit by some strong sticks early on, but I was greeted with flavors that I hadn't experienced yet and I wanted more.
Had a Tennessee Waltz a few weeks later and it was everything the Jericho Hill was but dialed in a bit more. I couldn't put my finger on what I liked yet but I knew it was good. Then I let one sit for a few months and delivered all the same but with an added smoothness and amped up flavors. I always have at least a few ready with a few months on them and they never disappoint. I think so far it is the one that rings loudest.
Had a La Imperiosa at Thanksgiving that was stellar and a few four kicks thrown in here or there that were nothing but fantastic.
Back to the Las Mareas - Having read the reviews of those that have had their hands on them I cannot wait to fire this one up. The only conundrum is do I let it sit for a bit, or dive right into it (knowing that my B&M has good connections for more).
