I hear it all the time...
Some cigar smokers swear that Cuban Cigars are the best in the world; well I have news for you "not anymore"! The best cigars now made are Non-Cubans

From my point of view Cubans are all "hype" and they are just status symbols for many...Stop wasting your money!

However, in terms of construction I do have to admit that the Cuban Cigar manufacturing process is the best in the world.

What do you think?

I think Rev. B needs a beating and E should ban him.

I have not yet tasted and or learned but a small portion of my love of NC and I know this. But I will say that the few gifted CC I have received and tasted maybe 5-8 total, I can tell you left me craving more. The amount of love, care and attention that a botl put into maintaining and aging and caring for them is more than a purchase its a passion. I can tell the difference, don't know what it is or why it is but to me they are something special. Yes I'm new and still figuring out blends, binders, wrappers, fillers i prefer but man it is something special when you get a hold of one of these with some age on it. Yes there are some amazing NC out there and i hope to try them all!

I would say that for the most part NC has better construction and a better quality process. I have had few Cubans and don't have the patience to age them. The best cigar I have ever had was a Bolivar Petite Corona and a PSD 4. They both had a couple years on them. I remember thinking "Is this what it's like to smoke crack?"

I have to say those two cigars blew my mind. Its a lot like wine; everyone has a preference and it's all about the regions. I smoke whatever I'm in the mood for though. This is definitely gonna bring out some debates.

Coca~Cola > Pepsi
No sir! Pepsi > Coca Cola

Cuban cigars have a different complexity and flavor standard IMO. I feel they have a rustic type taste. I have only had a couple of Cohibas and one Montcristo while I was abroad. I have yet to try a sweet profile cuban. They are generally earthy and leathery. Construction and care does go into them but I think Nicaraguan adn Dominican cigars have stronger profiles. But I am still a newb. Just my .02

I remember a certain brother named Jdog running THE most analytical plugged review panel ever done on a cigar board. And it was HERE. Over 3k cigars were smoked and reviewed for plugged and consistency by the brothers here. LESS THAN 1% DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CCS and ALL OTHER COUNTRIES.
As far as taste I wouldn't say either is better. But I'm enjoying the heck out of a 06 Party Corona right now. And the dub is enjoying a 99 Party Lonsdale as I type.
Cheers,
Jfire

I can't make a fair comparison as I haven't had barely a taste of the CC, but I agree that the allure of the forbidden fruit probably makes them more desirable for those who haven't had one. I'd say ask a person not living in the USA their opinion to get a closer to non bias opinion. As for me the few that I have had were very good, but I have had some really good NCs before as well. The PSD4 I thought was great and am glad I have more. The SigloIV I had was good but didn't blow my socks off. All this FWIW.

I've smoked both and enjoy both very much! Its all about what you like and nothing more. The allure of cc's is a draw towards them but the allure of a great cigar at that moment in time is a BIGGER DRAW no matter where its produced;)

Coca Cola ! my 2 cents... o wait
Of the CC's ive smoked ive never been disappointed, that being said a good cigar is a good cigar, I always feel like this argument is like comparing Rum and Whiskery, Both are great but in different leagues. :dunno:

Heya, Mike! How ya been?

I've been doing well, myself.

You know what I really miss? Hotdogs. I haven't had a really good hotdog in years. That or jambalaya. Mmm - jambalaya hotdogs! Now I have my weekend plans.

Hope all's well, buddy!
