I renewed my CRA membership and was sent 2 free smokes, one of them being a Cusano Freedom. My girlfriend stole it off of me and said that she really enjoyed it (this is after I bought her a box of monte open jrs which I thought she would like better.... nope..:angeryell lol)

I was wondering if anyone knew where to get more for her. Search results only yield the CRA cigar. Is there an identical Cusano blend under a different name? Is there a way to get some more CRA freedoms?

I am sure someone has to know these answers! lol

It's funny you said stole, when in all actuality you gave it to her knowing it was mild, but not knowing what it was (then realizing you should of tired it).

Been there bro... ha!

Sound about right?

Wish I could help but :dunno: On a side note I have not tried cusano in years. Used to smoke the corojo 97 but swore them off because of some horrible burn issues.

Cusano is releasing a new cigar, The Cusano 15th Anniversary. One size, Lancero and it is suppose to be full bodied. I'll be seeing Mike Cusano on Friday and I will ask him about the Cusano Freedom.

I've yet to try a Cusano cigar. They don't get mentioned much on cigar forums, though I've heard some pretty favorable review son the Cusano 18 Maduro.

I just smoked this cigar today, the CRA Cusano Freedom Toro. It was great! It was somehat reminiscent of a Davidoff Aniversario #3, which is one of my favorites. I just emailed Cusano to see what, if anything, they make is closest to this. I think it may be the Cuvee Blanc, which are made under the supervision of Henke Kelner and with an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. If I hear back from them, I'll post here.

I did a lot of research on this subject, talked to a couple reps etc. Larry even talked to one of the Cusanos I believe and we all came up with the same info.

The cigars were "a batch of premium cigars we had at the factory in the Domincan Republic and we do not have the blend information on it for me to give you a comparable cigar".

Now, this seems just strange to me. If I was a cigar company and decided to put my product into a sampler that will reach far further than my normal customers, I would make sure to put something I was proud of, something that would invite people into my brand. Ask Pete whats in the black blend thats in the CRA#1, I am sure he will be able to tell you how many leafs went into the filler, same with the Fuentes and the Forbidden X in sampler #2.

Why would anyone walk into a factory and see a bundle of cigars that they have no idea about, not even the slightest bit of information say to themselves "I think I will use this to tell people what my brand is all about".

Weird, maybe I just have my tin foil hat on too tight but something seems off there.

Yea Justin, I agree. That does seem strange. I have not gotten an email from them either yet (only been about 6 hours). I may pull the trigger on some Cuvee Blancs anyway. -Dan

I am smoking one right now and absolutely loving it. John and the Tobacco Leaf (Denver, CO) highly recommended the 15th Anniversary. A very tasty treat! Thanks John!
