I'm having a cabinet humi made from cypress, which I've learned recently is a moisture wicking wood.

I planned on lining the inside with spanish cedar, but have been told I should place some type of barrier between the woods to prevent the cypress from sucking all the humidity out.

I'm open to suggestions on what to use as a sealant on the cypress inside the cabinet, or a barrier between the cypress and cedar.

Thanks brothers!

I would send a email to Bob Staebell @ Aritocrat humidors. Even though your not a current customer, he'd probably still help you out with a great answer.....

I'd coat the entire inside with food-grade silicone.

That's actually not true. I'd ask an expert. Don't listen to me.
