Here is a picture of the beads I just took out of my main humidor. Has anyone seen Heartfelt beads change color like this?

I've seen a few in my beads, but not as many has you have there. If I recall I picked them out, but I'm not aware of what causes that, of if it affects the bead.

This has happened to me on a couple beads, but not as dark as some as yours. It has happened when a little piece of tobacco fell in with the beads and stayed there for some time.

I thought I had damaged them. I traded out the forest foam for the beads and I kinda over filled it, but they were fine for a couple months before they started turning color. I think a few of them were damage because I had little pieces of beads falling out in to the top tray.

Your OK j had some do that as well. Just pick them out and you will be fine. Also if you leave them in they won't harm your six.

Had a bag (maybe .5#) go bad in very short time. Less than 2 weeks from looking perfect to major black clumps and very black spots on mesh bag. Mold, I'm fairly certain. Only ever used distilled water and never had problem before. I think I may have had a little standing water in bowl after last charge, but it was very quick and disturbing transformation.

Yup, Dave....leaving them in standing water will cause mold for sure.

Beads should never be "soaked" 50/50 clear/white. Not only can it mold them from absolute saturation but it will almost crack them into smaller pieces every time. Spray bottle FTW. You may end up hydrating them a little more often (replacements in foam bricks) but its worth it.
