I smoked my first DCM today (#5). Very impressive! Nice and smooth with complexity. These don't get much love from what I've seen on forums. Is that because of the price? ...or did I just get lucky and smoke a good one?

The label is a bit clownish, but we all know not to smoke the label, so no big deal.

I love them too. A morning smoke for me because there is not the intensity of flavor that I need later in the day. But they are very tasty. Flavor-wise they remind me of the VSG, but more "musty."

These really improve with age, imvho.

DC MAX is a great smoke. I don't smoke them often, but when I do they are always good! And like someone mentioned... they age nicely!

They are pricy - but they are a great cigar. It's my Dad's favorite go to for special occassions. They smell good, they taste good, they look good (yeah, they do have elephant band issues)

The wrapper looks a lot like the VSG wrapper, no doubt. The taste is somewhat similar as well. I wonder if it's the same Fuente sungrown wrapper with different filler...
