The project I'm working on is coming to an end quickly. Well, I got official notification today that our project will be de-staffing the remaining few we have here in the electrical group and D-day is Oct. 23rd. There is a very slim chance that may get pushed back to just before Thanksgiving but even if that happens there's no other projects to go to after that. They pulled the plug on another project that had been going on for several years and that sent about 450 people out the door. Doesn't look good and this sh*t always seems to happen around the holidays. Just sucks! :dunno::argh:

Good luck bro! I made it through 1st round of layoffs. Now we are taking company wide furlough days along with a wage freeze, 401k matching suspended, and holiday pay suspended. I`m not complaining, I know there are many less fortunate than I. Keep your head up and a smile on your face. Good things happen to good people, I`m sure something good is in your future!

Start hammering the resume now Rick. I was part of a RIF a couple of months back and it's rough out there. Growing up RIF was Reading is Fundamental, now it's Reduction in Force (I like the old version). Good luck brother!!

Thanks for the support everyone. Hopefully things will work out for the better. It has in the past but this time just has me a little nervous.
