With football gone and the "hunny-do" list mainly on Saturdays, it leaves my Sunday open, here is what I did last Sunday. Many of us save bands, for whatever reason we do. Hell I can't stop. I got this humi from a yardsale for a dollar last September and got it up and going a month later naming her "MONICA." (YEAH, that Monica)

I used some automotive type 3M spray adhesive to apply them, let it sit for a couple hours then took some of my sons Elmers glue with a tiny brush to coat it since it drys invisible.
Well here is the finished product. It's came out a bit "tacky" and I'm still chipping some glue that didn't dry as "invisible" as advertised but hey, I dig it.
The tackiness actually gives it "character" I think. You know, like your grandpops gave it to ya. Anyone else tried this?
I'm sure there are many out there!

Stories, pics? Long Ashes my Brothers and Sisters!

Great idea! May do that to one of my humi's on 'arts and crafts day' this summer, with friends. We're also doing a cigar table (covering an end table with bands) and think this would be just as fun!

Thanks for sharing, brother! Nice work :)
