I've noticed that because of different preferences regarding taste, draw, cut, body, size, etc that we brothers can sometimes be giving opinions on cigars from different perspectives. Define what your perfect cigar would be like to smoke* and then -- just for fun -- add in anything that might turn that great experience into an unbelievable one (ex, scenery/location, company, food or drink pairings, etc).

*this can be a fictional cigar or a real one- but it should be your ideal smoke

I don't know if I have a perfect cigar in mind, my tastes are constantly changing and depending on my mood I reach for different cigars. I guess I would say one that tastes great, readily available, wont bankrupt me, will be enjoyed with friends, one that I have the time to smoke to the end, and is below 60 RG :)

The specifics of the cigar will vary though

I love a small ring gauge with lots of chocolate deliciousness and doesn't kill my pocket book. Oh wait; the Padron Panetelas are exactly what I'm talking about. Mmmmmm.. My perfect cigar.

My mind may change in a month though. ;)

Almost 50 years of smoking cigars I thought there were the perfect cigars but another one comes along and it starts all over again. I just have 'favorites' now which is just fine by me as I'd hate to just have only one cigar to choose from. Variety....now that's what a "Perfect" cigar is all about.

A Lonsdale with medium body. Flavor would start out sweet and earthy with ample chocolate notes, transitioning in the second half to a blend of cocoa and rich baking spices.

Closest so far is an aged Tat Havana Cazador.

I'm of similar mind as this with the exception of changing the "below 60 RG" to below 50 RG

Current Favorite is the Herrera Esteli (Creamy notes of White Pepper that mold into a Rich Ceder and a Roasted Nuttiness)
Draw- Not loose but not overly tight, rich smooth smoke
Cut- strait
Body- medium to full
Size -Toro (Piramide Fina for DE HE)

^^^^ All of these wonderful things sitting on my patio on a cool fall Arizona night listening to Pink Floyd talking with my friends.

Tat black churchill w/ a stalk cut habano wrapper, and the same w/ a Fuente Sun Grown Rosado wrapper, and they would both come in a 40 count book box, wet-packed and aged a year.

My favorite cigar is a medium to full body lancero, with either a ecuadorian or connecticut broadleaf wrapper. ~2 hours of enjoyment. Not costing >$15 each!

My palate isn't refined as most so my taste is very narrow. For me I smoke mainly Tat's and DPG's but have many others I mix in from time to time. The only thing I can ask and hope for in the cigars I love are to not be plugged or rolled so damn tight.
For me company with a cigar is always nice but I find when I'm alone I can relax and truly enjoy the experience.
